Sandeep is the Co-founder of Farmers Pride. During college days, he conceived a dream of better India after getting inspired from APJ Abdul Kalam’s words. So, he started a magazine circulated across 150 colleges in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh to help and inspire others with relevant information and learning practices. This was a time for his self-reflection as well. He handed over the magazine to his friends and tried some other domains of work.
During this journey, he had to pursue and leave three undergraduate programs in Engineering, Journalism and Human rights to find his real interest in life – organic farming and rural development. He learnt farming from Padma Shri Shubash Palekar and Bharat Bhushan Tyagi (both awarded for contribution in agriculture). Later, he volunteered on farms and dairy farms for more than 15 years to understand production and marketing of organic, agro based products.
He has also worked on food processing for more than 6 years. He has also visited major successful models in 15 states of India and built a network of farmers engaged in organic farming.
Now, he shares his vision of ‘better farming and better agro products’ with thousands of people and constructively engages new people to adopt nature- based farming and eating practices.
